Aims and Objectives

To help promote Ennis as a clean, well maintained and cared for vibrant town.

To promote environmental awareness and education including waste minimisation and reduction in carbon footprint

To encourage civic pride, active participation and involvement in environmental and developmental initiatives

To create innovative and effective projects and initiatives, with a view to addressing local challenges

To ensure value for money through maximisation of resources and through efficient and effective delivery of services

To create and maintain national and international links with other towns and villages interested in environmental initiatives

Promotion of competitions to encourage active participation of the community to foster pride in the town. The competitions are aimed at various sectors, the community at large; the business community; residents associations and school children.

Biodiversity Day (every May) - encourages families to learn about biodiversity
